I think at this point you'd have to give the nod to the Everled. Bright, regulated and easy. Heat doesn't seem to be an issue, either, regardless of it's host. And available in many colors that will provide 24 hrs plus on 2D, and who knows how long on 3. The spot/spill are both better than the stock bulb you're replacing in color and brightness. Even cleans up a mag reflector a little bit (not quite as ringy). I have a blue one in a mag 3d and it dazzles the eye.
