i just swapped my jetbeam jet-ii IBS's LED from Q5 to R5.
but now the jet-ii gets warmer very much faster than before? it gets noticeably warm after 30 seconds.. is this an indication of improved heat sinking? or its the LED? what is the problem?

oh and btw, the R5 i swapped in has a very very bad very green tint. i have never seen before tints this green. even my fenix Tk12 R2 which also has a green tint looks cool white when compared side to side with my modded jetbeam R5. the R5 is 2 times greener than the TK12 R2 !!

The XP-G is more efficient than the XR-E it replaced, so it should actually be producing less heat. I think you may have a short that is heating the light. Go back over your solder points, and make sure that there is not a dab of solder touching the botom of the reflector.
