coating on black Arc AAA?

It's probably HA, just like the current ones. I have a few myself. Black HA was the standard color before the Natural. The black was apparently easier to get consistent color, wheras the natural color ones vary from light to dark. I like them both, but prefer the nat.
The earlier black ones were not HA but that was long ago and probably not the ones you got.

It is Black Type III Hard Anodizing same as the new ones only black.
Thanks, guys. It has the appearance of HA, just thought I'd ask to make sure. I'm thinking I like it better than the natural, though it does make it look more like a solit@!re... Can't have that, now, can we...
Overall I'm pretty pleased with the seconds I got. Cosmetically they were all just fine. The beams weren't perfect, but they're still completely servicable lights.
