Features:

- P60 Dropin
- Solid copper slug thermally bonded to base
- Reflector is thermally bonded to base
- Electronics & leads are fully potted with thermally conductive compound
- Inner spring is epoxy bonded to driver board
- 1.4A single stage / 3 stage board, powering an XP-G R4/R5 emitter
- Runs most efficiently with 1x Li-ion (2x123 can be used intermittently, 6V max input)
- Copper strip included for maximum heat transfer from dropin to host body
- Designed to be able to withstand heavy shock for weaponlight applications

Changes:
- Switched from copper strip to tape.
- Dropins are cleaned & coated with DeoxIT GOLD before shipping.
- 41% bigger heatsink compared with v1.

Output:
369 lumens initial turn on
300(minimum)+ OTF lumens after settling @ 5+ mins / R5
R4 is slightly lower.

Due to the nature of the 7135 boards & varying XP-G Vf's, I will not be making any regulation claims. However, XP-G's naturally have a lower Vf (3.3-3.4), and when tested out of 4 modules, pulled 1.4a from a fully charged 4.2v Trustfire 2400mah 18650 and still managed to pull an average of ~1.2A from a 18650 after it drained to 3.64V(~95mins). This will vary depending on what 18650 cell is used. In addition, reverse polarity will destroy these boards (single stage).

PP addy is:

Do not send PP unless asked to. I will be messaging members when their module is ready.

These look awesome. I love all the heat management involved. Anything optional at this point?
Like LED tint, reflector finish, etc? I like neutral tints and smooth reflectors personally. So it's about a month and a half till you are buried under dozens of 3 mode orders? :)

I have to agree with Sgt., they rock! Will most likely be in for another when they come available especially the sst options. I really like the look of the way the spring board is done now on the back of the drop in.

I ordered the best tints I could find, but they're not coming in for a few weeks. I was aiming for 1A R5 but only managed to get 0D for this next batch. Ordered 5B1 R4's as well.

SMO reflector is an option, but it would be a different reflector design - not sure how the beam pattern would turn out. It's possible though.

I'm thinking something along the lines of a 3mode, R4 5B1 SMO reflector would fit you well.

Oooooh that sounds really nice!!! 3 mode neutral goodness. :)
If the smooth reflector doesn't throw much further than the OP then I'll stick to the OP reflector and be happy. Don't spend too much time tinkering with it if there is little gain. I have other drop-in's if I need big throw anyway.

I leave it to your better judgement, just shoot me a PM when it's ready and I'll send off the PP right away.

I saw some people asking about an option for a 3 mode and you saying that you can't find a high current 3 mode driver.

It is really tough to see a difference in output between say 1 amp and 1.4 amps. Mostly what you gain with that jump in output is lost runtime.

If you're looking at a very far distance, you might see a little difference.

I think a good 1.2 amp, 3 mode driver would be perfect for this.

I'll probably order another one in neutral, 3 mode when they become available.

PP received!

I'm actually waiting on 1.4A drivers currently. I posted a feeler thread and the general consensus was 1.4A only. I may do a different run if many people request it.

It showed up today, I missed the post and thought I was still waiting on a shipping notice. I'm alright with getting the drop-in first. :)

This thing is really nice. It looks like double the output of the Deerelight 1.5a module I got. (Maybe there is something wrong with that! It would explain the lack of output difference from 1.2 to 1.5.) Excellent beam and excellent tint, very close to white. I say it is somewhere around WD to WC tint as far as R2's go.
