Like most everyone else, money is a bit tight right now so I just can't "get them all". :p

I'm looking for a medium form factor light for mostly night boating use. I was originally set on a Legion II v1 at ~740 lumen (read somewhere that the Legion might not give a full 700+ lumens?) output on high for about 3 hours on 2600's but I've been reading a lot about the TK45 which has gotten some good reviews too.

Does anyone have both or used both that can offer some thoughts on which might be better for my use. I know both a good lights so I'm looking for info on what might be better for me.

I'm looking for a light that has good run time at high output, 2 hours+, has decent throw but enough flood/spill beam to give good view of an area while still throwing ~100-150 yds for seeing buoys and/or debris and doesn't get so hot you can't handle it on max for the full 2+ hours.

Currently using either a Mag74 or Mag85 which provides plenty of light but for only about 20-30 minutes or longer with intermittent use. My DBS with Nailbender SST-50 pill works really good with about 40-50 minutes runtime, but I'm looking for just a bit more light and longer run time.

jetbeam rrt-3 is a good choice. It runs on 18650's and has a very long run time. Great throw and spill as well. Not sure if it is your price range though.

nailbender sst-90 pill (or a tripple xp-e/g) and a few extra batteries.
