I have no idea where to post this, and it's quite off topic.
I've been wondering about portable tv screens. Right now the ones I've seen are still backlit. Why not use the technology used in modern PDAs? Sexy transflective LCD panel and an LED based lighting solution. You'd get a killer color screen that's front/side lit using white LEDs and you get to save on battery life and costs. Just think of the Gameboy Advance SP. Very compact, battery lasts for quite a few hours and that's with the system computing game data. Price is right too. The GBA SP goes for $99, and that's on par of current portable TVs. MMM. Perhaps someone is already making one and I'm just not aware of it.
