New camera by Kodak, what do you think

i was at bestbuy today and the guy there was raving about this camera,saying he could not keep any on the shelf.

Here's one with a bigger zoom and more importantly image stabilization which means you won't need a tripod to zoom in on anything over 4x optical. This Panasonic dmc-fz2 also has a 12x optical and additonal digital zoom as well. http://www.dcviews.com/press/Panasonic-DMC-FZ2.htm

I'm really interested in this topic since I'm kind of looking myself.

I like that panasonic except it only has 2 megapixels. Thanks for pointing out the lack of image stabilization. Image stabilization is indeed great, my current olympus 10X zoom has it and it really helps. Personally I never use digital zoom since anything it will do I can do in photoshop or similar software with more precision.

By the way, there may be nothing to it but I got newsletter from the new york school of photography that said they were expecting a camera price war right after thanksgiving.
