The H32w us the light I've been waiting for ZL to make since I got my first zebra nearly 5 years ago.

My H51w was my go to night trail running headlamp but the spot was a little tight. I wanted a slightly wider spot to cover the whole trail in front of me and I had to run the light on nearly the highest mode which left me very close to burning through a whole battery on a longer run. Not to mention I had to carry either Eneloops or lithium AAs around when all my other EDCs and lights in my bag, car, etc ran on 18650s or CR123a cells.

When the H52w came out, of course I bought one because the output/runtime increase with the XML was significant and it had the beam pattern I wanted. It served its purpose well but there was still the issue of carrying separate batteries just for my headlamp.

The H32w hits the sweet spot. It rides around in my pack which I have with me everywhere and it eats the same batteries as the Malkoff MD2 that it rides with.

If I ever have to loan a headlamp to someone, I loan them the H52w because they can use alkaline cells, spring for lithiums or even a li ion if I trust them but the fact is, I'm a flashaholic and I have a lot of cr123 primaries around. If I want to recharge the light, I've got 16340s but I find I rarely use them.

Definitely most used light after my EDC.

I received a H32W for work the other day. It replaces a s10L2 baton that I lost. I had been using my sc31W and sc52 L2 until I could pick one up through work. So far I am totally happy with it. The size is awesome and the right angle head makes it easy to light up whatever I want . I have since installed a rare earth magnet to the removable clip so it will stick to metal and make my job easier! The headband is very comfy and the light weighs next to nothing. The tint is identical on both, a clean floody neutral that's on the cooler side of neutral for a xm-l2 t6 anyway, at least to me. ZL lists 4400k I'd say more like 5000k again just my opinion. I love the color of the tint regardless of where on the spectrum it falls!

I like it a lot and am excited to pick up a sc32w to match it.

I happened to be carrying my sc52L2 and thought I'd share a couple comparison pictures since the sc52 is so popular.

Awesome pictures!! As far as batteries for the h32, does an RCR123 work? I don't want to have to keep buying new batteries

Awesome. Thanks for the quick response! Also, I read online that if you completely discharge a li-ion battery, it won't be able to charge up again. Is this true?

In truth, you have to over discharge a li-ion to damage it. Many of the lights available now (including the h32) have over-discharge protection circuits that should prevent the light from draining the cell beyond it's minimum safe voltage. In addition, there are protected li-ion batteries that contain their own built in protection circuits. These are highly recommended. Between these protective measures, you shouldn't have to worry too much about damaging your cells. If you do happen to somehow over-discharge your cells however, that can affect their performance and can even pose a safety concern.

Fortunately, the H32 also has a battery charge indicator function!
