I Googled it, and I don't find anything.
It seems that it would work very well, though. Many items need a splitring to be large, so that it will recover from the stress of putting through a large hole, but then the edges stick out far, and it is awkward and cumbersome.
If the splitring was oblong, it would eliminate that problem.
I did find triangular splitrings, and that's a good idea as well.
Also, is there a tool specifically for installing splitrings? The small ones from The Sandwich Shoppe are particularly difficult to install, and stay partially sprung open after putting them onto a berkeley point mini clip.
Is there a "trick" you use to ease installation?
I was thinking of soldering them together once installed. Has anyone tried that?
