4D Cell Maglite LED upgrade

Hi, apologies if this topic has been done to death or in the wrong section.

I have a 4D cell maglite which has an early and relatively cheap LED bulb in - it's output can only be described as highly-disappointing.

Can any one recommend an LED module that will fit in with relatively little or no work and ideally allow it to keep running of the D cells.

Something around the £30 (which is probably about the same in dollars these days) would be ideal.

that is probably your best bet, as far as cost\performance.

Thanks, I am partial to the path of least resistance - so I've bought that module.

I'll need to find some more burly rechargeable D cells now.
