QIII running R123 vs HDS U 60

Yes. I compared them yesterday in my basement. The Q-III was eating an R123 (Nano) and the HDS was on a Surefire. Not scientific, mind you. The lights have similar spill/flood , both in terms of output and size of the flood area (with the HDS on high). But the HDS has a hot spot in the center that adds throw, which is lacking in the Q-III. I can't quantify it, but the HDS will certainly reach out and touch something, whereas the Q-III will not.

Exchanging the Q-III stock reflector by an IMS SO20XA changes the soft spot to a well defined one and clearly adds throw.
I had doubts to do it, because some CPF members seem to prefer the stock one, but now that I have done it I am very happy with the result.

Hi , I replace stock reflex with McR20 from dat2zip it's very nice soft hot spot and good throw.
