A few questions about the new L1

I sorta missed all the info on the L1 and wanted to know if
1.) Can the L1 run on a R123(protected)?

and

2.) Can the optic be replaced with a reflector? (20mm perhaps?)

My understanding is that the L1 runs very well on the R123 li-ion,
especially the R123 Li-ion that comes of the charger at
4.2 volts.

As to the reflector, I have no idea.

I have just finished my L1 MOD by replacing the L1 stoked TIR optic with a mcr-20 reflector. the reflector is a little longer than the L1 stocked TIR optic, so there is a gap between the upper part and the bottom part

I would love an L1 with an MCR 20... But still have other things to buy. I remember Chop doing a KL1 mod where he boiled the head and got it open that way.
