Just received my first SF today, the U2. It will be my EDC. And EDC can be brutal at times. So, I am a little concerned about the belt clip accidentally getting bent.

BTW - I have my SF lanyard looped thru the belt clip. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Has anyone ever accidentally bent the belt clip ?
How difficult is it to get bent ?
How would it get fixed ? Send it to SF for replacement ?

1.Yes, I bent the clip on my A2 when I was on a response in October.

2.It happened when I wasn't paying attention. I had the lanyard looped around my duty belt, the light was clipped on the best next to the connection. At one point I jumped into the car, noticed the light wasn't there when I buckled up. It was hanging from the lanyard outside the car. Whoops.

3.I fixed it by using a multitool. Just bent it back into place. I now carry it in a kydex holster. .

When I bent my first SF (an E1, if I remember correctly), I got told by the folks here on the CPF, that those are POCKET clips and NOT BELT clips!!! I searched around and found something to use as a holster.

Yeah, you'd think that pocket is pretty close to belt, but you'd be pretty wrong. .
