I was just at arcflashlight.com and was looking over
the specs for the two coming out soon and
3 and 5.5 Lumens sounds wrong for a light with
the arc's reputation. Figuring that the MJ led
in a 2AA MM puts out about 20-25 what gives?

Is this a mistake? Even though it takes only
a single AAA with it's stup up and super efficient
led I'd have thought that at least 15-20 lumens
would be about right...especially for a legend like
the arc. Additionally this is the spec for the new
one which claims to be 80% brighter. Does this mean
that the original ARC put out only 1 lumen?

Anyone?

Thanks

M

MJLED and Nichia are different despite similiar size. The MJLED is a medium power LED with multiple die. A direct comparism is not fair.

From memory, the old Arc-AAA with Nichia SB1/2 put out 3 lumens.

For comparism, Surefire L1 Low 1.1 lumens and High 22 lumens.
