sorry if these are boring to you guys, but this is my 5th attempt and the only one that actually came out right

it comes from dorcy aaa guts (but the diode and coil were replaced with smaller ones) strapped to the outside of the 5mm LED. the reflector was removed completely.

it looks messy but has a surprisingly nice beam pattern.

Nice work. Thats my next mod with the Solitaire. I just finished a Solitaire mod. 25k millicandle 3mm LED and it runs off of AG4 button cells. The LED is the same diameter as the original bulb. Just trim the leads and push it in. Then rig up a battery holder. Its made with a piece of vinyl tubing and 1/4" copper pipe. Check out the pics. All are 2x under exposed.
