I just got my L1P and I couldn't see the AR coating, so I compared it to my Nuwai Q3,

and what do you know, there is some kind of coating. It's so subtle.

I took out my camera and took these three pictures of my desk lamp halogen bulb reflected in the different surfaces....daylight white balance, F8 1/1000s

First is my high priced Swiss watch with no AR coating and sapphire crystal, followed by the L1P and then my Kuwai

You'll notice that the L1P is whiter than both, the bulb reflection is a lot more yellower, and it also seems the L1P seems to reflect just a bit less light too. In real life, the difference in whiteness of the reflection is even more noticeable

Mine is one of the earlier lenses that has quite strong AR coating. It's very noticeable and has a purple halo ring it casts to the sides when on. It's pretty cool. They reduced this later as some people didn't like that to make it more subtle. Looks like your's is one of those.

BTW your picture show's the AR working! pretty cool!
