    Driver FET/magnetic sensor retrofit

Hi, to prevent future leaks, I suggest you to change all the o-rings with new ones from an hydraulic o-rings provider. Using the tail cap as a switcher may be not an option, I have one quite similar and is you unscrew the tail cap for an one-off use, most probably it will leak.

    Video light design doubts

Hi to everyone [emoji2] It's amazing how fast time goes! I started this project 4 years ago and seems it was yesterday. Too much work give me near no time for my hobby, it seems that now I'll be able to continue with this project. In the mean while I just customize some Chinese lights...

Is there any way powering a 2xcr123/1x18650 light with NiMH's?

I think you shouldn't be scared about Li cells, you just need to know them and follow some easy safety rules. IMO the best place to start learning is that. Best regards from Zaragoza.

Were to find unprotected 18650's 2600mA with tabs in EU?

Hi all, I'm getting crazy:duh2::sick2::sigh::sigh: I'm trying to find an European Union dealer of unprotected 18650's cell with tabs to build some battery packs and fix my laptop battery. May be some one knows were to address? I already bought the protection circuit for that packs in...

    Triton "Intruso" Dive light

Javier, again you can find your light in a Chinese web site. I think nobody doubt that you design the lights but seems that the factory were you produce them is producing more with different logo and selling them quite cheap. If they are so good is a bargain to buy them here Best regards form...

    Help with battery pack

Thanks again alpg88. So I will go for option 2. Just another newbie questions...It's possible to "reuse" the NTC Thermistor of a old laptop battery pack? Which battery charger could you recommend me? I've been reading a bit in the forum about it but got confused with so many options. I'll use...

    Help with battery pack

Thanks for your answer. I got surprised with that information, I never thought that this could work that way, that makes the idea of a balancing PCB quite useless as is not going to be efficient at all unless you have batteries with identical rate of discharge. I'm moving to a 5 cell pack...

    Help with battery pack

I'm considering this PCM/PCB the only trouble is that is too long. It would be nice if anyone how has try it could tell me if you can trim it a little or is not possible, looking at the pictures it seems that you could trim some milliliters in each side. The one you recommend looks interesting...

    Video Light Relfectors

Hi Damien, Thanks for your answer, I thought you pass me out:wave: I'm still looking for a PCB for the pack, and will take a look to this batteries you are using. I found a couple of them that will do the job but are too big, I would like to have a PCB with equilibrium capability so I don't...

    Help with battery pack

The pack must fit into a cylinder of 55mm diameter. I would like to know if it's possible to obtain non protected cells. I'm thinking on this LG ones that are sold in some web's after adding a protection circuit and repacking. I have the idea that the amp limitation comes form the protection...

    Help with battery pack

I didn't put the volts as is another row and don't give too much information. XML as all leds drop different voltage at different current, going form about 2.9v at 1A to 3.3v at 2.2A as there are 3s3p the voltage trough the 3 leds in series is between 8.7v to 9.9v. The battery pack will be...

    heatsinks

It doesn't sound well as plastic is a good thermal isolation material. May be it's a stupid idea but... What a bout using the cable gland (if made of metal) as a kind of thermal bias? You could use a piece of copper sheet and shape it like a disk to attach the driver and then solder a strip...

    Help with battery pack

Hi all, I'm designing a video light and need a bit of help with the needed battery pack. The main trouble I find is that all battery packs already made I've find, have a from not suitable for my needs, so I'll build my own. The idea is to build a 4 cell (18650) 2200-2800 mAh battery pack...
