Fishing, felt hot pocket. Knew it was G2 accidently activated. After I turned it off I just kept wondering .....how long has it been on in there.... I had been fishing for quite a while.

Wowee!! What's in that monster? It looks like you could weld aluminum with it.

I was surprised a bit by the warmth generated by the Proton that I've been EDCing recently. Wouldn't call it hot. Just not used to getting heat from 5 mm. Nichias. I guess when you put six of them together it shouldn't be surprising.

As a weapons light?

not sure if Pelican M6 (2330 & 2390), Surefire E1L are considered weapon lights. my Pelican 2630 (on 50% mode) & Streamlight Enduro (on high mode) headlamp gets never gets anywhere near warm even after an hour.

L2D CE on highest mode keeps the pocket warm in the wintertime for sure. Not too hot to handle, though.

Can't even begin to imagine how much heat comes out of multi new-generation LED light configurations. Nothing pocket-sized yet though.

I have a Pila GL3 w/a Lumens Factory EO-9 bulb. It gives a 10 minute warning, but I only run it for 5 because it gets way too hot.
