…Wish I could find a 2 mode head that worked w/ the gas pedal that had a decent tint.
Not quite a head with two modes or gas pedal, but I've found the Elzetta Hi/Lo tail switch to be highly useful and easy to switch with momentary or click on for constant in both high and low.

The tails also have a slight slop in them that allows for a pseudo-gas pedal where the tail is tightened to just below full high, light is clicked on to low, and a slight lateral push of the tail puts it in momentary high. Elzetta said this was intentionally designed. I don't usually want the slop, nor do I use the tail like that; so I apply Teflon tape to take up the slack in the threads.

ZFL heads can allow for use of Malkoff drop ins with high CRI.

Yeah, the Elzetta tailcaps would be great, I just need it to work on an e-series body.

A McE2S would be nice to have...

Ah, sorry I missed the part about being E series compatible.

I've been pondering to attempt opening and reflowing a Tactician head with a high CRI emitter.

I wish I knew you wanted a McE2S, just sold one housed in an Aleph tail.

The McE2S is just another one of those things on a long list of stuff I need to pick up when I run across it. I'm sure another will pop up at some point.

A tactician with high CRI would be wonderful, but cracking open that head seems like a real pain. Maybe could sous vide the head to soften it up? I have the feeling of destroy the first one of I tried. I've never tried modding a SF.

It'd be a nice tool when kitted out properly, though. I'm pretty fond of it stock, everything but that patented surefire tint®

Just got a package from Lumens Factory. Rather quickly I might add. Shipped FedEx.
Tail switch to turn the Surefire EDCL2-T body into a tail standing forward McClicky switch and boots to make it orange. With the Malloff VME head and M61NLL 80 lmn running a 16650 this should be a rather versatile and long lasting light

And they included a couple stickers and Velcro patch

Carry On!

I'm waiting for what I think is a SureFire 12PM with a T62 turbo head. I don't usually buy "modern" collectible lights but I thought those were incredibly cool looking back when I joined CPF.

Malkoff Universal 2-6 D & C Size Maglite Adapter In he head and 2X21700 will slip right in a 3 C cell. They will rattle a little but you can wrap a few turns of electrical tape around the middle of them. Just a bit though.

That ultra is a great light. I use mine all the time.

It is coming from eBay. I'm thinking two 16650s and a Lumensfactory dropin if I get any use out of it.

I'm sure it is. Still lifetime warranty but if I wanted a China light, I would've bought another Olight... lol
Streamlight still has all the advantages of being a US company. I don't think Olight executives will chat on the phone with you.
