.... Sorry, off topic. I'll shhhhh now

I've got a few horror stories I've collected over the years. The ones from the UK clearly show that you are right about the concept of Justifiable Force being very vague. But I'll follow your lead. :sssh:

Those are my two travel set-ups, regarding to which country I'm going to:

In some countries I prefer my new Rick Hinderer Aluminum Extreme Duty Pen... :naughty:

Hi guys, I live in Singapore and would like to let you guys know if you all are intending to ever pop by for business or for a holiday, do NOT bring any knives at all. In fact, I am not even too sure about strike/assault bezels on your flashlights.

Our legislation is pretty strict on this and there are certain classifications of weapons that attract heavy penalties such as any button/spring loaded blades, gravity knives (balisongs), nunchaks etc.

As for flashlights, you arent really going to need them here, the last power outage we had here was at least 2 years ago and there are street lamps everywhere, you actually have to work at it to find darkness here, sigh, my flashlights are underutilised except when i go night fishing

This probably explains why there isnt a good market for flashlights in singapore and most of my purchases are online

This logic is a little bit worrying me: Why do you need a flashlight? We never have darkness here. You maybe a criminal, because only criminals use flashlights... The same started with all kind of blades: why do you need a blade? You must be a killer, then!

Also, please don't mix small, non-locking knives like the Spyderco UK pen-knife with OTF/automatic "switch-blades" like a Microtech HALO III. There are only a few countries, where the possession and or concealed carry of automatic knives is allowed. In my country automatic knives are the same like other knives, but even owning a hidden weapon like a sword cane is totally forbidden.

Don't worry, I research what is allowed in a host country. And yes, I can travel with just a carry-on and no knives, etc. and be very happy as well. I guess this is the same for many on CPF/USN, etc. I made it also very clear, that I do not think it is clever to travel with flashlight with integrated strike bezel.

Sorry, for ranting off... Maybe you didn't mean it this way. But, those are arguments typical for "sheaples", why one should not own various items.

loszabo : can you see a little yellow-ish tint in the hotspot of your typhoon H2X?

Why are you asking this question? JFYI: my H2X is upgraded; my Gladius not. And yes, I do see a very slight yellow-ish tint (tested against my white wall), but it is nearly not visible.

i was only asking to see if my Typhoon H2X 2 was the only one, or if you could see the yellowish tint in the hotspot in all of them. mine is not modded but its the 170 lumen model. my gladius's beam is a lot nicer but it is not as bright, my gladius also does not go as low on the lowest setting, but i find i use the gladius more because it doesn't have the faint yellow tint in the hotspot. thats all. is it because the emmiter is a little high in the reflector? if not do you know what causes the yellow? are you taking offense to my question?
