Hi all!
Fresh member on this forum, but been reading for some years.
I'm looking for a strobe/beacon only light, and hope some of you could give me some advice on a decent light and a good dealer who can ship it to Norway.
The light shall be used as a warning sign when shooting at night, daytime we raise a red flag but by night we need something a bit more visible.
Some of the desired functions:
Strobe/beacon only, multilevel is OK if disco-modes are findable for a caveman.
360
⁰ light angle.
Down to minus 25
⁰ Celsius operating temperature.
Price below 45$
Orange or red light, diffusers are ok if they don't easily fall off.
Solid build, or cheap enough to buy some spares.
Lanyard or keychain attachment point.
Batterylife above 3 hours (preferable on a AA).

Thanks to all in advance, truly a great forum!

Here's a nice one that is better than cheap, but not top of the line. Uses a mix of LED's, and a xenon lamp for the primary strobe. Runs off 4 AAA's, and the strobe should last at least 8 hours. Underneath the black suction thing (which can be removed), it has a powerful magnet for attaching to a vehicle, etc.

If this doesn't seem to be what you're looking for, check out Adventure Lights...they make alot of nice priced strobe lights for the military, etc. Hope this helps, and :welcome:

Thanks to both of you!
Will check out more on the Hydrostar.

A Quark Tactical could fit the bill, but (as i should have mentioned), the light shall be available to many people that uses the shootingrange. I suspect that a nice light like the Quark Tactical will magically disappear a day no one else is looking.

The Glo Toob FX is a smaller strobe/beacon but is very resistant and useful, even if it doesn't run on AA (23A or CR123 for Glo Toob Lithium)
80 hrs runtine on slow strobe mode.

As mentionned above, another option is to get a light and a diffuser, such as a Fenix LD10/20.

Looks like Eflares would work for you.
They are a dedicated beacon designed for high visibility, come in plenty of colours & have a range of mounts to stick them pretty much anywhere. most run on 4xAA batteries.
We use them for traffic control and they are easily the brightest strobe we have found.
Build quality is great (made in the United States of Australia ) , they roll around in the back of our fire truck, get hosed down, run over & still keep going.

Thanks for all the good advice, will order a Glo-Toob Lithium soon. Price is in the range of 4sevens Quarks and Fenix, but hopefully a strobe oriented light like Glo-toobs will not be so attractive to people with glue on their hands...

As for Norwegian prices on CR123 batteries, ordering online from another country is like "take 5, pay for only one".
Cheapest i have seen is 56,- NOK (10 USD) for one.
