I never was a chisel ground blade fan. I think around 1996-97 when the Benchmade CQC7 came out I tried it. I prefer symmetrical edges even over convex or asymmetrical edges. They might chip a little faster. However. Much more bite if chopping wood and much more sharp if cutting flesh.David Mary knives.

So do I, just a 1x32, I finish the edge freehand on DMT stones.All of mine are convex because I machine sharpen on a belt sander
