Streamlight had a similar combo. I remember that light. I thought it was the coolest thing in the world at the time. 3xAA. It had some kind of multiple 5mm LEDs (or whatever size) plus one incan bulb in the middle. And you first had to turn one to get to the other.
Circa 2004 if I recall correctly.

I have a couple of those (3 AA's), but they are buried away in the crawl space.

I just happen to have one of the old TwinTask 2L's (2 CR123's) out, so I took a couple of pics for you.

It starts out as an Incan, 2nd to the LED's (very angry blue, BTW), and then 3rd back to the Incan, 4th turns it off.

Ah, thanks for the trip down memory lane. That's just it. It was well built. Thick and heavy for the 3xAA form factor.

IIRC, the 3rd click got you both LEDs and the incan. I could be wrong however, it has been about 15 years.

I kind of loved and hated that thing at the same time. I think I gave it away to someone. After I got this 1W Streamlight 2xaa.

I found CPF in 2007 when I was trying to decide between the SF Aviator and that StreamLight Twin Task.
Never did buy either, lol.
You both may enjoy this then.

1 of my StreamLight TwinTask 3C

All LED - First 3 - 5mm, then all 6 - 5mm, then the larger center LED by itself.

I got my first module in 2010 (M61L-xpg) to upgrade my Surefire G2L. The Surefire had a bluish beam and while on paper the runtime was good, I didn't like how it tapered for the ANSI runtime. Soon after that it was a maglight module and MD2 body with H/L ring. The MD2 was my edc and used at work and I kept the 3D mag light in my backpack in the ambulance for when longer runtimes or more punch were needed. Bought a few more stuff over the years.
I now use the M91BN for my backup light and am debating between either a wildcat without the filter or Hounddog for my bag light.
I edced a ZL SC600w than a Okluma DC1 now an HDS NLT with an 18500 body but I always kept a Malkoff light as my backup along with a headlamp.
