Next up,
the v2 eddie bauer 1 watt. It appears to be a nicely made light. I like its formfactor : thin and compact. Il was also suprised to see that the v2 e/b. was brighter than my inova Xo. It has a very nice snow white beam, with plenty of side spill. I hand picked this one off the rack so maybe i got lucky and got one of those accidental 3 watts implants that i read about in another post sometime ago...anyhow I haven't come across any runtime issues yet...I'll stock up on some spare n-type cells... I'm going say that this v2 might be pretty close to maybe 40 to 50 lumens in overall brightness. your results may very... carefully handpick your products. you folks be the judge...

I haven't picked up the Eddie Bauer 1W yet, but I did get the Dorcy 1W 3 AAA light at Target. Good light for the money although I could do without the strobe feature. I must have lucked out as my Dorcy 1W model is very white (no green tint at all). I guess it's that famous Luxeon lottery all over again.
