im looking to replace my minimag which has been at my side for some time now. its just not enough light for me, as always, lol. so, ive got it down to 3 choices. Ultrafire WF-502D, Ultrafire WF-606A, and Romisen Cree RC-N3. i plan on using nimh's for the most part. what im wanting to know is which will give me the most output/best run time, plus have the ability to be upgraded. thanks in advance!:twothumbs

Don't forget the upgrade path for the flashlight you have now - for $23, your MiniMag could be a 100 lumen Cree-powered pocket rocket..

already plan on doing that. the issue is, when i ordered my new teralux, the unit is a newer version, and less user friendly. when i get home from work ill get a pic, but ive already ordered the p-4 from dx. it should be here this week :D.

thanks tho guys. any others?

I'd pick the RC-N3. Because of the forward clickie, lower price, and easy to open(so it can be easier to mod).

I don't have the light, but here's a runtime chart of the RC-N3(stock), it uses the same driver as the RC-N3 Q5, so runtime should be similar.

That LED looks to be either a Luxeon I or III, that means swapping in a current gen LED(the Seoul P4 U-bin works best) will give you twice the output for the same runtime.

i know, i plan on swapping them. the problem is the way the led is soldered on. the leads go into the little can thing, and i dont see a way to get it apart without breaking it. i was thinking of snipping off the leads of the current led, as i dont like the color of it. that way i think i could attach the seoul to it.
