Hi sorry for the newbie question, I don't know much about flashlights but I am here to learn. I have a newer 2D maglite that is already an LED flashlight, but I would like it to be a warmer light. My attempts to seatch and find a bulb or mod to change the color have just led me to incandescent to led conversion mods. Would it just be as easy as changing out the bulb for a warmer one? If so what kind of bulb would I need? If not what else would I have to replace? Thanks for reading, any help would be appreciated.

You'd need to replace the LED with something like a Cree XP-L 3000K emitter. That's assuming the forward voltage (~ 3v) are the same as what mag uses, which is probably true. But you'd need to do some soldering for that to work. Probably more hassle than you're looking for. IMO, it's easier to just buy a 3000K LED light from a better manufacturer. Convoy has inexpensive options.
