For anyone interested, There's a fun event going on at Fort McArthur Museum tomorrow night. It's a re-enactment of the Los Angeles air raid during WWII. It's a 40's theme event where all the participants are dressed in 40's military and medical garb. Guards in uniform, are walking around with rifles slung over their shoulders, 40's music, dancing, touring of the artillery bunkers etc. Then at about 8, they fire up their huge air raid siren, all 5 of us light up our 60" lights and they fire off two huge cannon in fully-auto mode. The noise is defining but great and the flames out the front are spectacular. It's a lot of fun. I think it costs $30 to get in. Helps keep the museum going. You get a meal with your entry.
