7.4v in a stock G2?

Can anybody tell me whether or not dropping two 3.7v lions into a stock G2 will fry the (6v) P60 lamp?

Yes, it will.

You could run a P90 lamp, or a Lumens Factory ES-9/SR-9/HO-9. I find the SR-9 with a pair of AW 16340s to be the best balance between output and runtime.
