I had a little fun with some Yuji 5mm LEDs and the soldering iron.

On both of these mods, I swapped the 33 Ohm resistors to 100 Ohm. By my calculations and measurements, the LEDs are driven at about 26 mA. A nice brightness and well-within spec.

I think I like the version with two 5600K and one 3200K the best. The incandescent beam is actually significantly cooler to my eye than the 3200K Yujis, so a couple of cooler LEDs mixed in gives it a better match. I also tried 2X 3200K/1X 5600K but I like this mix better.

Duster1671, Thanks for doing a little experimenting with the Yujis and an A2, and sharing the beamshots. I have an already-modified 5.5v led ring, a stock A2, and a few Yujis kicking around, so I might try this some day.

Very nice, where did you find those Yujis? I wasn't able to find a source with anything other than bulk quantity.

Here is an A2 with Cree C513A-MSS 2800K (80 CRI) on the left, stock white on the right.

The Crees look nice too. 2800K is pretty warm!

I'll PM you where I got the Yujis.
