Since a month or so ago I have acquired a few lights, the latest is a Fenix T1 I bought because (1) it seems to be a tough light that can handle being dropped; (2) has a tail click on switch;(3) it has two modes that seem easy to access; and (4) its "turbo" mode has limited run time, but has a high output.

I am very happy with the light. It is much brighter than my G2L when in turbo mode, but I still like the G2L for some applicaitons. The T1 will be my light for medium range good portability illumination .... great for spoting coyotes or bears cutting throught the property ... I may still get a M6 for the heavy throw needs I have, but for now the T1 will work well.

Yep, i love mine, too. I got it just cause i wanted a big thrower, and it was lots cheaper than the tiablo and dereelight DBS. My nephew and i were out back a little while ago shining it across the lake, he all of a sudden thinks expensive lights are alot less stupid that he did !!

I am sure the DBS and Tiablo are fine lights ... I thought about those too before ordering the T1 ... then I read the current thread in the Flashlight Review forum about the fellow who tried to destroy his T1 and after more abuse than my wife may give the light, it died, but not without a fight. That convinced me....

JohnRussell,
I am glad you like your light. I love my T1 as well. And yet I a tempted to get a G2L (now that I know they are putting an aluminum head on them) as well.

I cannot wait to see what other new larger type lights (if any) Fenix comes out with this year. We will have to wait and see.
