A123 Dewalt Pack Cells - More than you ever wanted to know!

BVH was recently asking me about his A123 cells, getting them out of Dewalt Packs, how to make new packs, performance, etc. This post from RC Groups has all the links you would ever need.

Yep, that's the site I was guided to and it's great. One pack salvaged and installed in Solderless power tube pack. Functioning perfectly. Took some time to very gently grind off the spot weld blobs after removing the tabs.

You just have to be careful not to short when removing tabs. I use a short pliers that doesn't reach sides while rolling/peeling off tabs, and place a rubber washer to give extra insurance. I also recomment that Aluminum solder paste for joining packs.
