Just found something interesting -
The Ultrafire C2 aluminum reflector and cree "pill" is almost exactly the same size as the D36 lamp assembly used in the Wolf-Eyes M90, Raider 9D, and others.
This offers a lot of possibilities - I've already lego'd a Cree Rattlesnake Super Thrower and a 9V incandescent C2
. Considering the WE D36 Cree drop ins run $54 and the C2 runs $24, this could be a cheap and fun mod.
It did not fit in the 9D with the 9D bezel, but did using the M90 Bezel.
It also means that the body / pill is essentially a standard size. If we can find a source for the reflector (either as a part, or from dead lamp assemblies), it should be easy to convert D26 drop-ins to D36, or to build D36 from scratch. Seoul D36 anyone?
