I need to use it handsfree!! do they make any kind of hat or strap that can hold the flashlight? if so, please point me in the right direction as i need to be able to use this handsfree.

Not sure if Maglite makes their own head band but i know Nite Ize makes a headband for the AA Maglite's; don't know if this will fit the XL100 though.

There is also a belt holster from Nite Ize "stretch swivel holster" that will hold the light and has a locking swivel on it that allows hands free use at several different angles.

The Nova Tac EDC "new style" clip fits nicely(bezel up).
Can be clipped to a cap bill, although this is a fairly heavy light for this use. The clip is indeed quite secure, and provides a nice anti roll capability.
