Anyone ever reposition optics in M60?

I recently bought a Malkoff M60 module several days ago. The tint is very nice and output is stunning but the beam is a little flawed. The beam has some rings and a donut hole but I don't really care about all that. But one of the rings seems to crossing paths with another ring. I'm assuming this is due to how the optics are positioned in respect to the position of the emitter. Has anyone ever been able to repositon there optic to produce a nicer beam? I think it can be done if I can open up the module, but does anyone have any experience with this?

All help is appreciated

You will most likely destroy it. There is a holder under the optic that is epoxied in place, and the optic snaps into it. The optic is glued too... I had Milky remove a optic on a M60 for me one time, but the holder underneath really limited my options on putting another optic back in. It did not help that drop in. What you need to do is email Gene and ask him to make you a M60 with the optic and holder loose. You could then play with different optics, and epoxy the one you want in place. You might could even try a TIR????????

The problem lies with the Cree emitter. Quite often (most of the time). The die is not perfectly centered under the dome of the LED. The whole lens assembly snaps together and centering cannot be altered.
