I haven't a clue, but it reminds me of when my dad went to Saudi Arabia in the 1970's for an engineering project. He said many of the vehicles on the roads back then were those extra long bed pickups so the owner could take his camel along (I'm not making this up). He also said you'd be crazy to drive on the highways. It was considered an insult to be overtaken on the highway, which caused the driver of the overtaken vehicle to sped up and pass the guy who overtook him so he could regain his honor.
