If I recall correctly the CR2 Ion XT had a different beam profile than the regular CR2 Ion, one with a more typical parabolic reflector and a clearly defined hotspot?
In that case, unless you are particularly attached to the CR2 Ion XT, the newer Aeon (designed and made by the same guy -- Enrique/Photons Intl/Muyshondt) is exactly the same size and very nearly the same design, and actually far easier to get, since the CR2 Ion XT was a pretty small limited run. It also came in Ti or HA aluminum.
