Anyone try the Lumens factory bulb in the 9P??

I put one in my 6P with one cell extender and use it all the time. Run time is reasonable. Not too ringy with a tight hotspot. I like it. I don't have a Malkoff.

I assuming the Malkoff is a Q5 driven hard, or around 250 emitter lumens, the EO-9 as you can see, is rated 380 bulb lumens (this will vary depending on how you power it and how fresh the batteries are). So the EO-9 will be a bit brighter, but the Malkoff will have a lot more runtime. So it depends what you are looking for. Most people would agree that incandescent lighting is more useful lumen per lumen when used outdoors, so the EO-9 may have more advantage than just lumen ratings in the usefulness department depending on how you are planning on using it.

I'm running a HO-9, which is a step down, in a 6P + Detonator extension and
2 x AW 17500. 320 bulb lumens, which is enough to light up a hillside at 70 yards. The only remotely comparable LED I have is a Tiablo A8S, which puts out 210 bulb lumens, but with a much tighter hotspot. The beam of the HO-9 is really spread out at 100 yards, while the Tiablo, while not as bright, is noticeably tighter. However, the color of the incan. is much better for picking out details, at least to my eyes.

Lumens Factory has really nice lineup. The jump in lumens from the ES-9 to SR-9 to HO-9 to EO-9 occurs in useful steps. I've compared the HO-9 and SR-9, and the HO-9 is noticeably brighter. I would expect the EO-9 to also be noticeably brighter than the HO-9.

I currently carry (LEO) a SF G2Z with a Cree P4 dropin (140 lumens) and the Tiablo A8S. I plan I switching the G2Z back to an incan. bulb, probably an EO-6 on primaries (in a V70 combat holster on my left side) while the Tiablo is on my right side behind my holster, for general use.

I do carry this as my "play" light at work; I find the HO-9 to be the perfect balance of output and runtime.
