I have a laptop now and I now have a Pinnacle PCTV Deluxe (USB2). There's nothing "deluxe" about this POS at all. This is the worst piece of computer hardware I ever bought. It has both hardware and software problems. The power supply unit is faulty; the unit gets overheated easily. For software, the program that came with it always crashes and it always doesn't start the unit correctly. I went to Radio Shack and bought a power supply unit there, then I got Snapstream's Beyond TV3...now it works about 80% of the time, it still doesn't always start up correctly.

Before this mess, on the desktop I had before, I had a Hauppauge WinTV. It worked great, never gave me any problems.

Snapstream's Beyond TV3 is an awsome program, you can do PVR with it. You can remotely view and setup recordings on any computers connected to the internet, and you can even remotely setup recordings on your cell phone.
