Hi Volks!

Yesterday i received my ArcMania SFIII with LuxIII (3W) Led and SOB1000
Converter. This is an really nice light, with an good throw, but isn't up to date
anymore...:shakehead

Here some pictures

As you can see the SFIII has an optic, that has to change to.:)

My thoughts are:

*change the LED to SSC P4
*to use with an McR38
*and to bore the body to use LIR18650

What would be your ideas to mod this nice light? It should be a thrower...

Well, with all the (fairly) recent interest in aspherical lenses, I had (rather crudely) "installed" an aspherical lens on a temporary basis into one of my SFIIIs. The lens diameter is much smaller than the M*g Aspherical lights which I have however (they being 52mm and, I believe the lens for the SFIII was 30mm or thereabouts) and, there is a Luxeon in the light so, I did not get the same throw as the M*g-based Asphericals. With the SSC P4 and driving the light harder than the stock SFIII I would think the throw might be much better than what I achieved.

You should have just sent it to me :)

I have a MCR38 cut down in stock along with the previous TNC 38mm Reflector.

Mac

Hi Mac!

You are so right Man!;) But i feared that you have to much to
do with your nice new shop...:D

But what would i do only with the McR38 Reflector?:shakehead:p

What woud be your favorite mod on this light???

Hi!

Thanks for this advice...:ironic:

I think we have all the same thoughts. I think an Ostar-Mod
would be very difficult at this time.

Most cost effective mod would be to send it to Mac, have him install the cut McR38, and swap for a Seoul.

He may be able to bore out the tube as well, and you could run the SOB1000 with an 18650 and the Seoul.

That would be a nice light, not that it isn't already.
