I'm going to buy a Jetbeam RRT-0 R5 soon, and want to buy a couple AW RCR123 batteries and a charger to go with it. What charger should I use for the batteries? I have done a search and read through some threads, but I just want to be sure I'm going to buy somewhere that works and is safe. I would prefer to buy the batteries and charger at the same place, and I also would rather not have to do any modifying on the charger to get it to work(i.e. ultrafire charger+RCR123).

If you want a simple, inexpensive 2-bay charger, I would recommend the Shekor. There are a few threads on it. Its the charger I use for my (4) AW RCR123's to keep my Jetbeam RRT-0 R2 burning bright! Great setup IMHO!

Is there a site where I can buy the charger and the batteries at the same time? I would prefer to save on shipping if possible. I did a quick Google search and didn't find a place that had both.

Unfortunately, no. The only place in the U.S. I know of to get the Shekor is here. Its were I got mine. It does say they are temporarily out of stock but should be getting more in soon. You can get AW's from 4Sevens with free shipping and 4Sevens has a CPF discount. Not sure how their price would compare to other places that charge shipping.

Are there any other good chargers that are in stock and preferably carried by a vendor with the AW's?

I've read good and bad things about other chargers. I can't recommend any others due to no experience with any of them. Someone else may be able to recommend another.

I appreciate your desire to save on shipping by buying from one place. Shipping can add up in a hurry.

Alright, thanks for the suggestion. I'll consider that one, but for now if anyone has any recommendations feel free to post.

Not *the* charger you were looking for but a good known to be safe charger -- Oveready.com carries the well-regarded Pila IBC charger and AW protected as well as IMR cells. Their price on the Pila seems competitive with other on-line U.S. based vendors of same; you may end up paying an extra 1.25 per cell for the AW cells or something like that but it make come out in the wash when you consider shipping. Worth a look at any rate.
