I have looked at the black and decker slh100v and I like the design of it. Is there a hid that can beat this one and still be in my price range? Im guessing 35 watt is as high as I can get without going to a $300+ spotlight. How expensive would a barn burner hid be?

There was recently a similar question from a member in Europe looking for something in the same price range.

I personally find the Vector POB slightly large and heavy. You might want to give Battery Junction a call and find out when they plan on getting the N30 back in stock because it's definitely the king of HID's under $200 imo.

Here is the Spotlights and HID section of the forum:

Expect this to be moved there.... :)

The barn burner would be way outside of your budget. You may want to look at the stanley HID: The beam isn't all that beautiful to look at, but it is very bright and a good deal for the money.

When Barn burners come up for sale in the marketplace they normally run about $1200.

If Oracle is still doing the CPF discount the 24 Watt version is like $180 or something "lost the link:ohgeez:, you might have to call them:shrug:", though it's more of a flood light, not shore if you want more of a thrower:thinking:? The AE is a better thrower:thumbsup:.
