With my job dependable flashlight is critical. I have tried a lot of nice single RCR123 flashlights like the P2D and the C2H. They just don't have the run time.

I bought a Trustfire TR-801 on a wim and it is my favorite EDC. Its bright, has a clicky, smooth beam, is small enought for the pocket and has a long run time. However I know I would be better off with a reputable brand. Are there any other small 18650 lights I should be looking at ?

The Jetbeam is longer, almost as big as a P60 host.

Any other ideas out there?

An 18650 cell is the same length as 2x CR123A, so there is a limit to how small a 1x18650 light can be.

Yes, but the point is that the TR-801 is about as small as an 18650 clicky can be, while the majority of other 18650 lights are considerably bigger.

I think you'll find this one and this one are both smaller (~8mm shorter, I think). I don't have any knowledge of them apart from their dimensions - I don't know whether or not they are good or reliable lights, so you'd need to look at some reviews.

The burkett looks nice but I need a clicky as I inspect parts on/off.

I think I need to design a flashlight.

105mm long, foward clicky, 1x18650, 1.2A regulated driver, Q5, smooth and pocketable. Would sell like hotcakes.

Oh yeah

I'd definately get one (or three) of those!

Great runtime, super bright, pocketable and guilt free lumens...s#it someone is missing the boat here.

I'm an engineer I guess I should get busy, but I would much rather a good company did the work for me. Come on Deerelight or Fenix.
