I've decided that I adore the texture of brushed stainless steel.
My A1 EOS SS was starting to look a little worse for wear after spending some quality time at the bottom of my pocket with my keys.
I figured I couldn't make it any worse, so I took to it with a wire brush attached to a power drill.

The result is just beautiful. It has a wonderful satin feel to it, and is just lovely to touch. The brush effect is very subtle, so much so that my lousy iPhone photos don't do it justice.
I like it so much that I've brushed the Stainless Steel SST-50 EDC I got from ma_sha1. Its long, smooth barrel now feels like silk. The D10 clip that is on it was starting to lose its coating and show its bronze coloured underwear, so I brushed it down too - I think it gives a nice contrast.
