You're right - my apologies.
I've invested many hours of my time attempting to assemble a list of LINKs with the answers to the majority of the questions a Newbie would ask and when I see a question like your's (and it's late, I'm unable to sleep, and have poor judgement), I over-react with the kidding around and poking fun.
Hi TTA,
Just wanted to add that I have appreciated you (and other contributors) taking the time to assemble the links.
As a moderate newbie, when I first learned of this site last year, I was overwhelmed with the amount of information. At first, after spending hours and hours of reading, you think you understanding something. Then you come across another thread that questions whether you understood what you read. Then you search more and then get confused at what you were looking for because some of the threads go off on tangents, etc. etc. etc.
From my experience, I assume that someone has already asked a question and have been answered. FWIW, I think it's worth the time to search and read as much as possible - even if you don't initially get the answer you are searching as the additional information gets tucked away for future recall. (That was the case for me and searching for Li-Ion rechargeable batteries.) Then, after getting thoroughly confused, my last resort is to post a question. This is just me
.
At any rate, to add to the OP question, one thing that one may consider is to try to pair up batteries with similar capacities. If the Black Top Duraloops do not maintain a long shelf capacity, I would presume that the capacity may vary enough that one underperforming cell will reduce the runtime/performance of a device. (This is especially important for Li-Ion rechargeables to not have a cell be over-discharged: I hope my learnings from this site are correct , otherwise, I may have to demote myself form a moderate newbie to just straight newbie.:laughing
I recently started to check the capacity of all my NiMH's - standard and LSD (using Powerex Wizard One C9000 - which I picked up more than a year ago after I found this forum) so that I can group the like capacities together and make sure that I charged them in pairs and dated them.
Anyway, perhaps too much rambling... Hope this helps.
