I have 2 of these, a BLF and the Pro. On the BLF, the screws holding the board by the tailcap won't come out (I want to do a spring bypass). I tried soaking the screws in penetrating oil overnight, heat from a hot plate, an old piece of rubber inner tube on the screws underneath a screwdriver, and nothing helps. All the screws are completely rounded off now. I have a screw extractor that I tried holding with a pair of pliers and that didn't work either (I don't have a drill).

The Pro model has 1 screw that is exactly the same, while the other 2 came out very easily.

Any way to remove these screws without destroying the light?

I hate to say it BUT .. you maybe be asking this question a bit late

It doesn't sound like you've done anything that would keep the light from still working so I'd suggest stopping while you still have a working light.

Honestly at the lumen level the light reaches in stock form, even if the bypass did work I really doubt you'd notice without a light box to do before & after measurements
