LOL, just when you thought candy was bad for your teeth along comes the tasty, yet amazingly destructive hard anodized 6061 aluminum.:poof:

Sweet! (if you'll excuse the pun) :p

I use these & used medicine vials for storing electronic components in... I'm fussy and remove thew labels though :D

Kool idea, still looking for something for my LOD...for now it gets wrapped up in a small towel to keep it from getting all scratched up.

Now that's a cool idea! Use mine for extra batteries, never crossed my mind to put a light in there. :twothumbs

Left the label on so everyone would know whats what .
+ No kids . Too expensive !
Yes 2 x RCR123A or 1 x 18650 , maybe 2 C cells [ bye the sea shore ]
Id maybe put in a foam liner for batts ..
But a nice protective case for single cell lights [ EDC ] , great if your rafting ,kayaking , or anything else that might damage your light [ Travel ] .
Throw it in the toolbox , and the case gets scratched up , trunk of the car , glove box , tackle box , well you get the idea .

Hey do you remember those old screw sealed plastic containers you used to get to keep you keys etc. in when you went to the beach?

...and waterproof too. A very affordable spare battery carrier, perhaps?:)

Works for me!:hitit::thumbsup:

The tubes should work for batteries, just remember to remove the label lest someone thinks there's really candy in there! Don't forget some padding to keep the batteries from shaking around.

Yep. Just made this the other day from an empty Mentos Gum pack. Just put a piece of paper at the bottom and you are set. It holds 4 123s.

How do the CR123s fit in there? Loose, tight or just right? BTW is that a Mentos container?
Yes, it is a Mentos Gum pack. I don't have this anymore, but I remember the batts were pretty secure in there because the pack become narrower at the end. You need to put paper or foam or something under them. The only problem is it is a little difficult to take battery out -you need to hold one down and pull the other out.

This is just the sort of thing I was hoping to foster ...
Mentos Gum Pack .. Will see if its available here . Added to the shopping list .
:twothumbs

Did they hang from your neck VIA cord ?
Vaguely remember something , also waterproof wallet , that wasn't .

Yeah that was the one... you'd see them on the shelves predominantly during summer :D

Anyway here's one of the kid's lolly containers I've 'de-labeled' with the intent of placing 1000uF capacitors inside, as you can see from the inset picture you can fit plenty of CR123a cells in there too with 2 barely covering the floor of the container... another bonus is the positive force seal

FWIW I beleive it's a Mentos container :grin2:
