Anyone with medium-longer term feedback on these? I just recieved three and initial impressions are very good.
The only follow-up comments I've found reguarding 26650 IMR's related to the initial offering by batteryspace.
1)how these the same cells (lighthound and batteryspace)? how many imr manufacturers could there be?

if No, then
2) anyone comment on how these have held up for them? My initial impression is to order another set.

100% of the IMR26500's I've seen look like this:

Probably all the same cells.

Just keep in mind, these have a different chemistry from most IMRs. This gives them:

much more MAH
much less shelf life
half the max amps

I've got some IMR's from another company that I'm testing that do not look like the ones you posted.

They are also 4000mAH. I just completed 2 discharge tests, 1C and 2C and both results were very good. 4050mAh @1C 4100mAh @ 2C. The cells are rated for up to 15A, where battery spaces / light hounds I think are rated to 10A.

I've got a Lighthound 26650 in the mail, which I will test and compare.

What company and where did you buy them?

battery space sells 26650 too.
i got cells from them and lighthound, they look the same, thou there might be some difference in markings, i have to look that up.

I got them directly form the manufacture. I'm still in the testing process, but I may offer them for sale on CPFMP in the future.

But to keep this thread on topic, I should be getting a cell from lighthound tomorrow, so I'll check I'll run a couple tests on it. From reading other posts on CPF, it sounds like a pretty decent cell.

Much thanx for all the replies. Even EG's thread-jacking

100% of the IMR26500

I'm still interested in longer term performance. If they've got a shorter life, what is it? Obviously longer then 6mo

I'm still to new to CPF to have aged out premium lithium cells. I've disposed of a few trust/ultrafire's that have started self-discharging (one as young as 10 cycles though it was pushed too hard; I learned that 2c of advertised capacity was really 3c actual capacity).

I haven't completed the triple sst-50 these cells will power so I may use them in a hotwire for a start. I love that 2s 26650 fits an 8AA (with tail-cap mod).
