It's an interesting country. If you have a car accident there, you are basically considered guilty, until proved otherwise. If you hit a Mexican vehicle, you will probably not be allowed to leave the country until the damage is paid for in cash (their damage estimate). Overall, not a great place to take your own car.
No Saaby, no offense taken, but it's not a place for the uninitiated newbie.
BTW, when I was in the USAF Medical Corp, San Antonio, Texas, in the late 60's, EM's going to Mexico were put on antibiotics starting 3 days before going to Mexico, and continuing thru the trip, and five days after returning. It cut our loss of personell in the hospital by about 70%.
This does NOT help with the other amoebic/worms/etc. diseases.
