Hi all, has anyone heard of or used the Nexttorch cr 123 batteries. In New Zealand they want approx $14 each for the likes of Energizer, but I have found the Nexttorch batts selling at $20 for 6. Are they any good?
Thanks, Greg.

The don't make the cells, they're relabeled. Here's the question: who really makes them?

If they're U.S. made, they're probably good cells, with good capacity and the appropriate safety features. Same if they're Japanese in origin.

Anywhere else, or if the plastic top on the positive side is shaped like a "+" sign, then In would avoid using them, as they may be cheaply made overseas( Chinese origin) cells with a very spotty performance and safety record

Since Nextorch flashlights are made in China, I would suspect their batteries are as well. I'd personally stay away.
