Picked up the Olight S1R Baton II for the donation run they were doing (otherwise would never have bought one), but wow this thing is tiny for a 16340 and packs a punch!!! Next to it is a Arc6 which is already one of the smaller 16340 size lights. The Rotaries are obese in comparison LOL. I'm pleasantly surprised by this little guy and my one regret now is not ordering more to give away for this special run :(

yes, the little Olights make good backups or spare battery carriers for an HDS

they are also great standalone lights, with great modes and a great UI

the aluminium S1 Mini is the lightest.
The downside is that the Olights are practically impossible to open, to swap the LED. If you are OK w Low CRI, they are great.

I like the beam, tint and features of the S1 Mini Cool White the most (on the right)

Im also a big fan of the Protected and USB rechargeable Olight 16340

Yes that's my only gripe. This particular light is 6500k 70 cri and it's very blue to me. Definitely not good for color rendering, but decent for a back up.

the challenge with the Olights is getting the bezel off, because it is pressed in, not threaded

Here is a video showing a successful LED mod of an S Mini Ti.

Nice! I really wanted the limited edition version of this light! Not available anymore sadly :(
